Italian apple marketing consortium Vog launched its 80th anniversary celebrations at Fruit Logistica 2025 in Berlin. Vog, a leading European apple producer, plans a series of events to mark this milestone, emphasizing its origins, expertise, and sustainability. From its beginnings in South Tyrol, a region long recognized for ideal apple-growing conditions, Vog has grown to sell over half a million tons of apples annually to over 70 countries. CEO Walter Pardatscher highlighted Vog's commitment to innovation, from early adoption of anti-frost irrigation and cold storage to sustainable practices promoted through initiatives like Agrios. Sales Manager Klaus Hölzl emphasized Vog's brand-driven marketing strategy focusing on key markets like Italy and Europe. Marketing Manager Hannes Tauber discussed Vog's focus on varietal innovation and brand development, ensuring a diverse range of apples to meet evolving consumer preferences.
