Vietnam's Largest Cinnamon Festival Showcases Over 50 Cinnamon Products
Van Yen, a fertile region in northern Vietnam, is known for its high-quality cinnamon. This "green gold on the mountain" is a key ingredient in various products, from traditional medicine and cosmetics to spices and household items. The district boasts over 57,000 hectares of cinnamon cultivation, producing more than 50 different cinnamon products for domestic and international markets. This year's Cinnamon Festival celebrated Van Yen's agricultural success, coinciding with the district receiving the Second-class Labor Order and achieving the New Rural Standard. The festival showcased the region's agricultural products through exhibitions, highlighting the journey from harvesting to processing cinnamon bark and essential oil. Visitors experienced traditional Red Dao culture, explored local specialties, and learned about this vital agricultural exporter.
