Tuyen Quang Strives to Become a High-Tech Forestry Zone
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) recently met with Tuyen Quang province to discuss the progress of the project aimed at establishing Tuyen Quang as a high-tech forestry zone and a major wood production and processing center. The project seeks to modernize the province's forestry sector, meeting Vietnamese and eventually international standards. It emphasizes regional collaboration throughout the wood production value chain, aligning with national and regional development plans. This initiative prioritizes sustainable forestry practices, from forest management and protection to wood processing and trade. The goal is to boost income for forestry producers, improve living standards, contribute to socio-economic growth, and support environmental protection and climate change mitigation. MARD pledged its support to Tuyen Quang to expedite the project's completion. Tuyen Quang officials expressed gratitude for MARD's ongoing assistance and requested further guidance to address outstanding issues, hoping for swift approval and successful implementation of the project.
