Tay Ninh Prioritizes Policies for Organic Agriculture
Tay Ninh province is focusing on organic agriculture development to bolster its agricultural sector. The province boasts favorable conditions for cultivating high-value crops and livestock. To meet increasing domestic and export demands, Tay Ninh is shifting from single-crop to multi-sector agricultural production, prioritizing sustainable and ecological practices. The local government supports this shift through policies that provide interest rate subsidies for good agricultural practices (GAP), high-tech agriculture, and organic agriculture. These policies also encourage investment in agriculture, the application of GAP, and the formation of cooperatives and enterprises to enhance market competitiveness. Furthermore, Tay Ninh promotes the use of technology in agriculture, as evidenced by the adoption of automated irrigation systems, electronic traceability software, and the issuance of planting area codes and packing facility codes for fresh fruit exports. These initiatives lay a strong foundation for the region's transition to organic agriculture, ultimately aiming to improve product quality, increase competitiveness, and meet market demands.
