Shaffe Appoints New Leadership
The Southern Hemisphere Association of Fresh Fruit Exporters (Shaffe) has appointed new leadership. Nathan Hancock, CEO of Citrus Australia, will serve as President, and Jorge de Souza, technical and project manager of Abrafrutas in Brazil, will be Vice President. Both will serve two-year terms. Outgoing President Marta Bentancur concluded her term after strengthening the association's financial stability and establishing working groups focused on key industry issues like market access and global trade. Hancock and De Souza aim to build on this foundation, fostering collaboration within the Southern Hemisphere fresh fruit industry and tackling challenges in global export. Shaffe represents major fruit production and export associations across several Southern Hemisphere nations.
