In Gia Phu commune, farmers are using machinery for faster soil preparation and prioritizing pest-resistant rice varieties. They are also employing techniques like covering seedlings with nylon to protect them from the cold. Many are focusing on household consumption and raising livestock with corn and potatoes. Quang Kim commune is promoting the cultivation of Seng Cu, a specialty rice variety, for its high economic value. The commune is encouraging early sowing and transplanting, aiming to complete transplanting by March to prepare for summer-autumn rice production. District officials are advising on crop structure and sowing times based on weather updates and potential drought conditions.
