The Vietnam Salt Festival - Bac Lieu 2025 organizing committee received 57 salt and salt-related products from 13 localities for consideration. Director of the Department of Cooperative Economy and Rural Development, Mr. Le Duc Thinh, stated that 20 representative products were chosen based on sensory perception, quality, commodity production scale, local characteristics, product design, and food safety. The festival, scheduled for March 6th to 8th, 2025, aims to highlight the potential of Vietnamese salt and improve salt farmers' income. Activities include an opening ceremony and an exhibition showcasing approximately 100 booths featuring salt products, OCOP products, and salt production technology. The festival seeks to revitalize the perception of Vietnamese salt, honor the salt profession, and inspire future generations to engage in the salt industry through modern production methods that enhance productivity and value. The event will also foster collaboration between salt producers and other sectors like tourism and cuisine.
