Rubber Prices Today, February 24, 2025: Market Remains Stable
Global rubber prices showed little change on February 24, 2025. The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) saw slight decreases for March and May 2025 RSS3 futures contracts. Similarly, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) experienced declines for March and May 2025 natural rubber contracts. Last week, however, witnessed more substantial drops in global rubber prices on both exchanges. Domestic rubber prices in Vietnam remained stable. Mang Yang Company quoted raw rubber prices between 434 - 438 VND/TSC, while lump rubber was purchased at 387 - 441 VND/DRC. Ba Ria Rubber Company listed latex at 409 VND/TSC and raw rubber between 18,200 - 19,600 VND/kg. Phu Rieng Rubber Company's prices hovered around 400 VND/DRC for lump rubber and 440 VND/TSC for latex. A recent fire in Duc Co District, unfortunately, damaged over 700 rubber trees and impacted cashew trees in a local farmer's garden. Despite this incident, overall domestic prices held steady at 434 - 440 VND/TSC.
