Rubber Prices Today, February 19, 2025: Global Decline
Global rubber prices decreased on February 19, 2025, with declines on both the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) and the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE). Malaysia, a major global exporter, saw a decrease in natural rubber production in December 2024 compared to the previous month but an increase compared to the previous year. Domestically, Vietnamese rubber latex prices remained stable, trading between 434 and 440 VND/TSC. Prices were influenced by factors such as decreased demand from China post-Lunar New Year and the US-China trade conflict, but were somewhat mitigated by unfavorable weather conditions affecting harvesting in Thailand.
