Rubber Prices Today, February 15, 2025: Mixed Fluctuations
Global rubber prices on the Tocom and SHFE exchanges showed mixed trends on February 15, 2025. RSS3 rubber prices on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) decreased, while Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) prices increased. This mixed performance is attributed to China's planned economic stimulus and rising crude oil prices, impacting global trade. A Malaysian dealer cited the People's Bank of China's intention to adjust monetary policy to support the economy. Reduced natural rubber supply from producing countries and increased fuel demand further influenced prices. Kumho Tire reported strong growth, while Apollo Tires experienced a decline in operating profit due to high raw material costs. Domestically, rubber prices remained stable. Raw rubber latex prices at Mang Yang Company stayed at 434 - 438 VND/TSC, while Ba Ria Rubber Company listed latex at 409 VND/TSC. Phu Rieng Rubber Company quoted around 400 VND/DRC for mixed lump and 440 VND/TSC for latex. Overall, domestic prices hovered around 434 - 440 VND/TSC.
