Rubber Price Today, February 16, 2025: Significant Fluctuations This Week
Global rubber prices saw significant fluctuations this week, decreasing in Thailand but increasing in Japan and China. Domestic rubber prices in Vietnam remained stable. On the global market, Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) and Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) prices remained unchanged on February 16, 2025. TOCOM's RSS3 price for March 2025 delivery was at 378.20 yen/kg, and SHFE's natural rubber price for March 2025 delivery was at 17,945 CNY/ton. The price stability follows a week of mixed movements influenced by stimulus measures from the Chinese government and rising crude oil prices. Domestically, prices remained stable, with Mang Yang Company purchasing raw rubber at 434 - 438 VND/TSC and Ba Ria Rubber Company purchasing latex at 409 VND/TSC. Chu Prong Rubber Company in Gia Lai province reported stable production in 2024 despite weather challenges, achieving an output of 8,500 tons and revenue of nearly 455 billion VND.
