Rice Prices Today, February 6, 2025: Market Shows Little Fluctuation
Domestic rice prices saw minor fluctuations on February 6, 2025. Some varieties experienced slight decreases due to sporadic paddy rice supply and slow trading in regions like An Giang, Soc Trang, and Dong Thap. However, fragrant rice demand in Can Tho and pre-Tet orders in Soc Trang helped stabilize prices. Bac Lieu saw lower prices for remaining late-season rice. Prices for various types ranged from 5,400 VND/kg for IR 50404 to 20,000 VND/kg for Nang Nhen (dry). Export rice prices remained unchanged at 318 USD/ton for 100% broken rice, 405 USD/ton for 5% broken, and 380 USD/ton for 25% broken. Meanwhile, Can Tho reported a 9.41% increase in rice production in 2024, exceeding planned targets. The city aims to further modernize its agricultural sector through high technology and sustainable practices.
