Rice Prices Today, February 5th, 2025: Rice Prices Edge Up Slightly
Domestic rice prices on February 5th, 2025, showed a slight increase for milled rice, while unhusked rice prices remained unchanged. Trading was slow in many regions due to low supply and pre-Lunar New Year orders already fulfilled. Prices for various rice types, including IR 50404, Dai Thom 8, and OM varieties, remained relatively stable. Milled rice prices saw a slight uptick due to sporadic arrivals and slow trading. Export rice prices from Vietnam remained stable at 318 USD/ton for 100% broken rice, 405 USD/ton for 5% broken rice, and 380 USD/ton for 25% broken rice. The Philippines declared a state of emergency for rice due to unusual price increases, allowing the release of national rice reserves to stabilize the market.
