Rice Prices Today, February 21, 2025: Slight Fluctuations

The rice market on February 21, 2025, experienced minimal price changes, with only a 100 VND fluctuation for certain varieties. Prices for IR 50404 rice ranged from 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg, while Dai Thom 8 decreased slightly to 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg. OM 5451 saw a minor increase to 5,800 - 6,100 VND/kg. Export prices for Vietnamese rice remained steady, with standard 100% broken rice at 310 USD/ton. Low domestic prices are impacting farmers, particularly those renting land, with many facing potential losses for the 2024-2025 Winter-Spring crop.
