Rice Prices Today, February 19, 2025: Remain Mostly Stable
Domestic rice prices on February 19, 2025, remained largely stable, with some varieties experiencing minor price fluctuations. Paddy prices held steady across various regions, with sporadic trading activity observed. While fragrant rice prices saw a slight dip in certain areas due to increased supply from the winter-spring harvest, regular rice prices remained firm. Export rice prices, however, decreased by 1-3 USD/ton. Vietnamese export rice faced a slight decline, with 5% broken rice at 394 USD/ton (down 1 USD) and 25% broken rice at 369 USD/ton (down 3 USD). The global rice trade forecast for 2025 indicates an overall increase in exports, but Vietnam's rice exports are projected to decrease by 1.5 million tons compared to the previous year.
