Restructuring the Ornamental Plant Industry in Connection with OCOP Products and Agricultural Tourism

Dong Thap province is restructuring its ornamental plant industry to boost agricultural tourism and develop OCOP products. As the Mekong Delta's largest traditional flower and ornamental plant growing area, Dong Thap cultivates almost 3,000 hectares with over 2,000 varieties. This initiative aims to increase the added value of agricultural products by investing in research, technology, and technical improvements. The province is also focusing on developing high-quality, unique products for domestic and export markets. Collaborating with local communities, Dong Thap aims to build a closed value chain from production to consumption, linking the industry with agricultural tourism and OCOP products to create a sustainable economic ecosystem.
