Pomelo Orchard 'Beautiful Inside and Out'

Mr. Pham Dinh Thanh, a veteran and owner of an organic pomelo orchard in Binh Phuoc Province, embodies this philosophy. After leaving the army in 1987, Mr. Thanh established his orchard in 1988, recognizing the region's favorable agricultural conditions. He cultivates over 300 pomelo trees and dozens of durian trees on 1.3 hectares, prioritizing community responsibility and sustainable farming. Mr. Thanh generously shares his expertise and assists fellow farmers in finding buyers, ensuring fair prices for their produce. His commitment to quality has earned him loyal customers, including two export companies that ship his pomelos to international markets. He emphasizes the use of organic fertilizers and biological pesticides, resulting in high-quality fruit that meets export standards. This dedication to agriculture products and global export has yielded a consistent annual harvest of 35 tons of pomelos, generating an average income of 600 million VND per year. Mr. Thanh's success exemplifies the potential of sustainable agriculture in Vietnam.
