Pepper Prices Today, February 11, 2025: Domestic Prices Continue to Rise
Global pepper prices on February 11th, 2025, saw mixed trends. Indonesian black pepper prices slightly decreased, while white pepper prices increased. Vietnamese black pepper export prices decreased. Brazilian black pepper saw a significant price increase. India's pepper imports, primarily from Vietnam and Sri Lanka, increased significantly in the first 11 months of 2024, driven by duty-free imports under the South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA). This impacted domestic prices in India, making imported pepper cheaper. Domestically, Vietnamese pepper prices continued to rise, reaching 157,500 - 160,000 VND/kg, a 1,000 - 2,000 VND increase across various regions.
