Pepper Price Today, February 9th, 2025: Prices Surge This Week
Global pepper prices held steady on February 9th, 2025. Indonesian black pepper prices in Lampung were at 7,276 USD/ton, and white pepper in Muntok remained at 9,770 USD/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper was priced at 9,000 USD/ton and white pepper at 11,600 USD/ton. Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper traded at 6,400 USD/ton. Vietnamese black pepper export prices decreased, with the 500 g/l type at 6,500 USD/ton and the 550 g/l type at 6,650 USD/ton. White pepper export prices were at 9,550 USD/ton. Domestic pepper prices in Vietnam saw significant increases. Prices in Dak Lak rose to 158,000 VND/kg, a 2,000 VND increase. Dak Nong prices also climbed by 2,000 VND to 159,000 VND/kg. Prices in Gia Lai, Dong Nai, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau reached 156,000 VND/kg, 157,000 VND/kg, and 157,000 VND/kg respectively, each with a 2,000 VND increase. Binh Phuoc saw a 1,000 VND increase to 157,000 VND/kg. This week's domestic surge pushed prices to a high of 159,000 VND/kg, an increase of up to 10,800 VND.
