Pepper Price Today, February 6, 2025: Domestic Prices Surge
Global pepper prices are increasing in Indonesia and for Vietnamese export pepper. Lampung black pepper prices in Indonesia rose by 0.34% to 7,282 USD/ton. Vietnamese black pepper export prices saw a 2.31% increase for the 500 g/l type. Domestic pepper prices on February 6th increased significantly compared to the previous day, with prices in key regions like Dak Lak and Dak Nong rising by 1,000 - 1,300 VND to reach 150,000 - 151,500 VND/kg. Farmers in Dak Nong are currently harvesting pepper, and despite some weather-related yield decreases, the higher prices bring optimism for a profitable harvest season. In 2024, Vietnam experienced a significant increase in pepper export revenue due to rising global prices.
