Pepper Price Today, February 23, 2025: Domestic Prices Rebound Strongly
Global pepper prices remained stable on February 23rd, 2025. Vietnamese black pepper export prices saw a decrease, trading at 6,500 USD/ton for the 500 g/l type. Domestic pepper prices, however, rebounded strongly, increasing by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg, reaching 160,000 - 162,000 VND/kg. Key growing regions like Dak Lak and Gia Lai saw increases of 2,000 VND and 1,000 VND per kg, respectively. This positive trend follows a weekly surge of 2,000 - 3,000 VND in the domestic market. The current harvest season, which began in regions like Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc, is progressing slowly and is expected to extend into late March or early April. Despite the new harvest, many farmers and agents are holding onto their stock, anticipating higher prices in the coming years.
