Pepper Price Today, February 21, 2025: Remains Above 160,000 VND/kg
Global pepper prices saw minimal fluctuation on February 21, 2025. Indonesian Lampung black pepper decreased slightly, while Vietnamese pepper export prices also saw a decline. Domestically, Vietnamese pepper prices held steady at 160,000 - 162,500 VND/kg. Early February export data shows a decrease in volume but a significant increase in value compared to last year, with the average export price reaching a nine-year high. This suggests strong demand despite lower supply from the old crop and delays in the new harvest. Vietnam continues to be a major player in the global pepper trade, with substantial export and import activity in the first weeks of February.
