Pepper Price Today, February 19, 2025: Dak Nong Increases by 500 VND
Global pepper prices saw a slight increase in Indonesia on February 19, 2025. Black pepper prices in Lampung, Indonesia rose, while prices in other countries like Malaysia and Brazil remained stable. Vietnamese black pepper export prices decreased. The International Pepper Community (IPC) predicts a continued decline in global pepper production in 2025 due to lower economic yield compared to other agricultural products and extreme weather conditions impacting yields and increasing production costs. Domestically, pepper prices remained mostly stable. Dak Nong saw a slight increase of 500 VND/kg, reaching 162,500 VND/kg. Other regions like Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Binh Phuoc held steady at around 160,000 VND/kg. The Vietnam Pepper Association (VPSA) remains optimistic about Vietnamese pepper prices due to declining production and anticipates increased exports to China.
