Over 1,000 Tons of Durian Fruit Exported to China in 5 Days
Lang Son's Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board reported that durian fruit exports have normalized since early February. Over 1,000 tons of durian fruit were exported to China from February 1st to 5th, passing through Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh border gates. According to Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Head of the Management Board, the export of agricultural products, including durian fruit, is proceeding smoothly. The initial slow increase in exports is attributed to businesses resuming operations after the new year. Lang Son province is committed to facilitating smooth customs clearance for exporters, particularly for agricultural products like durian fruit. They are implementing plans to accommodate increasing cargo volume and developing smart border gates to enhance efficiency. Earlier this year, China implemented mandatory testing for Auramine O, a carcinogenic industrial dye, in durian fruit imports from Vietnam and Thailand. China approved Vietnamese testing laboratories in January, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
