Organic Farming Methods Enhance the Health and Vibrancy of Golden Camellia Tea Plants
Ba Che district in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam, with its cool climate and high humidity, provides ideal conditions for cultivating golden camellia tea. This valuable plant, once wild and overexploited, is now being cultivated across the district, contributing to poverty reduction and improved living standards for local communities. Dap Thanh Forestry Business Joint Stock Company, a leader in the region, has developed a successful organic farming model for golden camellia tea using only organic fertilizers and biological products. This method results in healthier plants and higher quality leaves and flowers compared to traditional methods. The district government is actively promoting organic agriculture and sustainable farming practices, providing training and financial support to farmers. The goal is to establish Ba Che as a center for medicinal plants, including golden camellia tea, by 2025, ensuring both economic growth and environmental protection.
