Organic Conversion in the Tea Region Sheltered by the Tam Dao Mountain Range
Sheltered by the Tam Dao mountain range, the Cao Sơn Tea Cooperative in Thái Nguyên Province cultivates tea with a uniquely mild bitterness and sweet aftertaste. To meet growing consumer demand for safe agricultural products and increase product value, the cooperative is transitioning to organic farming. This shift aligns with the cooperative's commitment to human health, environmental protection, and sustainable development. Using organic fertilizers made from agricultural byproducts, the cooperative improves soil health and reduces production costs. The cooperative's high-quality tea, including varieties like "Đinh" and "Tôm nõn," is sold nationwide and the cooperative is working to increase export volume. Organic farming practices, such as using herbal insect repellents and clean water sources, are strictly followed. The iMetos smart weather station aids in optimizing planting and harvesting schedules. This commitment to organic agriculture benefits both the health of the farmers and the development of the local community tourism site at Ghềnh Chè Lake.
