NH04-102 Grape Variety Approved for Production in Vietnam
Vietnam has approved the commercial cultivation of the NH04-102 (Black Finger) grape, a high-quality seedless variety developed by the Nha Ho Research Institute. This new variety addresses the country's limited selection of domestically grown grapes and reliance on imported fresh fruit. NH04-102 offers high yields, averaging 11-15 tons per hectare, with the potential for two harvests annually. Its black berries have high sugar content, appealing to consumer preferences, and the firm fruit allows for easy transport. This new variety is expected to boost domestic fresh fruit production and may have future export potential. The Plant Variety Protection Office has granted a 25-year protection certificate for NH04-102, further supporting its commercial viability within the Vietnam market.
