Minister Le Minh Hoan: Let Science Meet Life
Minister Le Minh Hoan of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) addressed agricultural scientists at a seminar on implementing Resolution 57, which focuses on breakthroughs in science and technology for the agricultural sector. He emphasized that recent scientific achievements have yielded positive results for farmers, such as new crop varieties with higher yields and disease resistance, and modern aquaculture technologies that minimize environmental impact and meet international standards. The Minister urged scientists to consider how to transform Vietnam into a center for high-value agricultural production. He encouraged leveraging technologies like artificial intelligence and big data in research. Minister Hoan stressed the importance of collaboration and teamwork in scientific research, advocating for shared data and interdisciplinary problem-solving. He promoted the idea of "Let Science Meet Life," urging researchers to focus on practical applications that benefit farmers. The Minister suggested creating a network of collaborators, including university lecturers and students, agricultural officials, and overseas students, to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.
