Malaysia Ranks as Vietnam's 4th Largest Rubber Export Market in 2024
Vietnam witnessed a substantial increase in rubber exports to Malaysia in 2024. The Import-Export Department reported a 433.5% increase in volume and a 515.7% increase in value, reaching 38,442 tons and 56.16 million USD respectively. This surge propelled Malaysia to become Vietnam's fourth largest global export market for rubber, holding a 1.9% market share. This marks the highest export volume to Malaysia in six years. Latex comprised the majority (76.5%) of Vietnam's rubber exports to Malaysia, while other rubber types like SVR 3L and reclaimed rubber also saw increased demand. Malaysia, a major global rubber producer, supplements its domestic production with imports to meet the growing demands of its robust rubber product manufacturing sector.
