Loreto Cacao Highlighted for Quality at Chocoa 2025 International Fair
TAMSHI, a leading Peruvian cacao producer utilizing sustainable agroforestry systems in the Amazon, showcased its high-quality Loreto cacao at the Chocoa 2025 Fair in Amsterdam. This international fair, a key event for the cacao industry, recognized Loreto cacao as among the best globally. TAMSHI, selected by Promperú and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of Peru's official delegation, highlighted its unique low-cadmium cacao and sustainable farming practices, differentiating it from other producers. The event facilitated strengthened relationships with European buyers seeking high-quality, sustainable cacao. Peruvian cacao is a significant agricultural export, supporting over 100,000 families and solidifying Peru's position among the top 10 global cacao producers. Loreto itself is recognized as the origin of over 70% of the world's cacao varieties.
