Live Pig Prices Today, February 6, 2025: Continued Growth
Vietnam's live pig market experienced a slight price increase on February 6, 2025. Prices rose by 1,000 VND in all three regions – North, Central/Central Highlands, and South. Northern prices ranged from 68,000 to 70,000 VND/kg, with increases seen in Hanoi and Thai Nguyen. The Central and Central Highlands region saw prices between 67,000 and 71,000 VND/kg, with Thanh Hoa and Nghe An registering increases. Southern Vietnam recorded the highest prices, ranging from 69,000 to 72,000 VND/kg, with notable increases in key provinces like Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, an outbreak of African swine fever was reported in Ca Mau province, leading to the culling of pigs and prompting disease control measures.
