Human Resource Training is a Top Priority for Organic Agriculture Development
The Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association recently met with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to discuss the upcoming "8th Asian Organic Conference" in 2025. Chairman Ha Phuc Mich confirmed Vietnam as the host and highlighted the growing importance of organic agriculture in Vietnam. While the country has supportive policies and a growing awareness of organic farming, it is still in its early stages. The conference offers a valuable opportunity for Vietnam to learn from international experts and share experiences in organic agriculture development. Mr. Mich emphasized the conference's potential to promote Vietnamese agricultural products, especially to boost the medicinal industry. The Association also proposed a thorough assessment of the current organic agriculture development project and suggested socializing training programs to address the shortage of skilled human resources. Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien agreed with the need for more training and committed MARD's support for the Association's initiatives to expand training opportunities and improve Vietnam's organic agriculture sector.
