Hai Phong Strives to Meet Model Rural Area Criteria in Newly Designated Wards

Hai Phong City is working to improve infrastructure in 30 newly designated wards, formerly communes, to meet model rural area criteria. These wards, spread across Hong Bang, An Duong, and Thuy Nguyen districts, require significant investment, particularly in transportation infrastructure. This effort follows Resolution No. 1232/NQ-UBTVQH15, which led to the administrative restructuring. Hai Phong aims to have all communes achieve model rural status by 2025, enhancing rural living standards and promoting agriculture development. The city has already invested heavily in rural infrastructure, allocating over 17.856 trillion VND for projects ranging from road improvements to school and healthcare facility upgrades. However, challenges remain, including limited project management capacity in some areas and difficulties acquiring land for necessary infrastructure development. Continued investment and efficient project execution are crucial to achieving the city's goals for rural development.
