Farmers Busily Watering Coffee Throughout Tet
Celebrating Tet with coffee cultivation is a common practice in Gia Lai province, a major coffee-producing region in Vietnam. With over 100,000 hectares dedicated to coffee, farmers understand the importance of timely watering, especially after the harvest season. Even during the Tet At Ty holiday, growers are diligently working on their plantations, ensuring the coffee trees receive the necessary hydration for the next season. This first round of watering, often combined with pruning and tree recovery care, is crucial for the plants to regain strength and produce a bountiful yield. Utilizing modern irrigation techniques, like automatic sprinkler systems, helps reduce labor costs and ensures efficient water usage. This allows farmers to tend to their crops while still enjoying the festivities of Tet. The recent high coffee prices have further motivated farmers to invest in their plantations, hopeful for a successful harvest in the coming season.
