Dong Nai Wood Industry Strives for $2 Billion in Exports by 2025
Dong Nai province is a leading force in Vietnam's wood processing industry, second only to Binh Duong in exports. The province is actively developing engineered wood projects and embracing sustainable practices to capitalize on the growing market for these products. With a goal of $2 billion in wood product exports by 2025, Dong Nai is working to strengthen its position in the global market. The Dong Nai Wood and Handicraft Association (Dowa) recently outlined its plans for achieving this ambitious target, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation. Vietnam's wood and wood product exports saw significant growth in 2024, exceeding $16 billion. Dong Nai, along with Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City, contributed significantly to this success. While challenges remain in the international market, Dong Nai is committed to sustainable forestry practices and supporting its wood processing enterprises, which number over 1,000 in the province alone. This commitment, combined with strategic investments and a focus on quality, positions Dong Nai for continued growth in the global wood product market.
