Coffee Prices Today, February 8, 2025: Robusta Continues to Decline
Global coffee prices declined on February 8th, 2025. Robusta coffee futures on the London exchange decreased, with March contracts down 1.28% and May contracts down 1.45%. Arabica coffee futures on the New York exchange saw slight fluctuations, preventing a continued price increase. Increased supply from Vietnam after the Lunar New Year and a shift towards pepper in the domestic market contributed to Robusta's decline. A stronger US dollar also pressured prices downward. Domestically, coffee prices fell by 1,200 VND/kg, trading between 128,500 and 129,500 VND/kg across various regions. While Vietnam's January 2025 coffee export volume decreased by 33% compared to January 2024, export value increased by 28% due to higher prices.
