Coffee Prices Today, February 11, 2025: Market Heats Up
Global coffee markets experienced a significant price surge on February 11, 2025. Robusta coffee futures in London saw increases, while Arabica coffee futures in New York reached new highs for the 13th consecutive session. This surge is attributed to Brazilian farmers' reluctance to sell their beans amidst supply shortages and strong demand from roasters. Concerns remain about low inventory levels in Brazil, a major global coffee supplier. While the Brazilian Real's appreciation against the USD impacts farmer profits, market speculation suggests that the next harvest might improve supply. Domestically, Vietnamese coffee prices also rose by 700 VND, reaching 129,200 - 130,200 VND/kg across various provinces including Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum.
