Binh Duong's Agriculture Contributes 18,000-19,000 Billion VND Annually
Binh Duong's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development recently reviewed the 2024 agricultural sector performance. Despite being an industrial province, agriculture contributes significantly to the economy, with 18,000-19,000 billion VND annually. The sector focuses on high-value products like durian and pomelo, leveraging technology and e-commerce for increased income and improved livelihoods. Binh Duong is promoting high-tech and organic farming practices, with over 6,450 hectares utilizing high technology and 600 hectares dedicated to organic cultivation. Vice Chairman Mai Hung Dung praised the sector's achievements and urged continued innovation for 2025, emphasizing the importance of a modern and sustainable agricultural sector.
